Day 525. 211 pounds lost.

I am officially enjoying my first couple days of being free from the golden handcuffs. Let’s be clear about one thing though; it’s different if you are working someplace you enjoy. This was not the case for me.

The weight is finally moving South again after a slow couple of months. I was so stressed the last few months with the above slavery that I wasn’t sleeping very good and I wasn’t making it into the gym far as often as I needed to keep making consistent progress. I’m not going to let anything get in the way again. I have seen first hand what happens when health doesn’t stay our priority. Something…… somewhere is going to suffer.

The podcast just dropped night before last, and once again, the messages have begun. To every single one of you that have reached out, I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the support and love. It’s incredible!! I sit here in awe and read through your stories that you have so graciously shared with me, and I’m speechless.  Since it’s difficult to respond to all of them, I will pull the most FAQ out and see if I can answer some of them.

Question time!

One of you sent me a message today stating that CrossFit was dangerous. I have a particular post for you coming soon. However, I can think of a quick response right now. Here’s what I find more dangerous; prescription pills, surgeries that can kill people, supplementation dependencies and a litany of others. Injuries happen a fair amount of time when people ignore their bodies or just… plain….. EGO. There is an element of danger in everything we do. Do you know how many people die every year driving to work? According to statistics, driving to work should be dangerous too. 

One of you asked a fair question. Why don’t I do full body pics? Great question! It wasn’t on purpose although I do believe in a bit of discretion. When I started taking pictures, it was in my dining room, and selfies were easy especially headshots. I lived like a mole back then and was too embarrassed to have my friend Goomba take full body pics.  I didn’t take the full body poses in the beginning but I can sure start now. I’m not hiding anything. If you want to see what 200 pounds lost looks like, I will show you. Proudly. Next post – cheers. Do I have loose skin? Yes, I do. Is it bad? Could be worse. I have been fairly lucky so far. Nothing is crazy unusual for my current body weight except a bit on my inner arms and a pocket on my right leg. Am I embarrassed about it? Hell no.

Many of you have asked what I’m doing now. Full transparency, I’m taking a couple of months off to write. I’ve been talking about it for far too long and started the book many times, and its finally do or die time.  I don’t have it all figured out yet, but I’m taking it one day at a time, just like the rest of the journey.  The material is there, but I’m trying to be patient with myself as I sort through the jumbled mess of a mind mapping brain I have right now.  But who says I need to have it all figured out? Excuse me while I dance my way through this.
